Every year, the Femdom Ball brings together extraordinary women — and every so often, someone arrives who sees them in a way the camera simply cannot.
This year, Madame Caramel personally invited artist Bill Grubby to join us at the Ball, sketchbook in hand. Throughout the evening, he quietly moved through the room, capturing the Ladies of the Femdom Ball in pencil and colour — and the results speak for themselves.
A Storyboard Artist’s Devotion
A former storyboard artist, Bill brings a rare gift to his work: the ability to tell a whole story in a single frame. Posture, attitude, the tilt of a head, the set of a smile — every line is placed with intention.
In his own words, he is an artist “who loves to draw beautiful dominant Women,” striving “to capture their essence and win their approval.” Looking at his work from the Ball, it is clear he succeeded on both counts.
His pencil and rose-pink portrait captures a Lady seated in full Ball splendour: tiara, sash and a gown that pools around her like a throne in its own right. The loose, energetic strokes give the piece movement and warmth, while her composed, knowing smile holds the entire composition together.

In contrast, his colour piece is all confidence and attitude — a red-haired Mistress lounging back in a tailored jacket, collar and boots, legs crossed, laughing as though the whole room belongs to her. Which, of course, it does.
Art as Tribute
What makes Bill’s work so special is its spirit. These are not cold studies — they are tributes. Each sketch celebrates the elegance, power and personality of the women who make the Femdom Ball what it is.
We are delighted to have welcomed him, and grateful to have these beautiful pieces as part of the memories of the evening. Thank you, Bill — your presence and your talent added something truly unique to the night.
